a frozen summer swim party

when one of my best friend's asked if i would design invitations for her daughter's frozen themed summer swim party, i was all in! how fun to have a cold themed party in the heat of the summer! one request: don't make the invitation super frozen-y. check! we wanted this invitation to be chic and grown up with a hint of elements from the movie. i kept the design very typography heavy and featured a very cute olaf with an assortment of snowflakes - which were carried out through the rest of the pieces!

a "let's get frozen" bunting banner was hung at the front door to great guests to the fun they were about to have!

the activity table featured "let it go" bunting, coloring sheets, elsa crowns and sven reindeer ears! the kids absolutely loved this!

the majority of the signs we created featured fun quotes from the movie!

christy was a party planning machine! she strung all of these "snowflakes" the week of the party and hung them around the dining table outside! that really set the frozen mood! great job christy!

of course by the fireplace, we had to add one of olaf's more famous quotes: "i like warm hugs!" 

christy had an amazing spread of food: spinach & sausage lasagna for the adults, sandwiches for the kids, kristoff's ice (rice krispie treats), olaf's snowman tree (donut holes), olaf's noses (carrots) and seven's antlers (pretzel sticks)!
